Kurt Schwitters An Anna Blume– DADA poem for narrator and improvised harp Lutz Rath, Cellist, Conductor and Director of the Washington Square Music Festival in Manhattan, a long time former resident of Sag Harbor will return to Bay Street Theater again with a very special performance.

His collaborators are the Neoilusionist Chinese Master Calligrapher and Performer Red Square, Russian model and Designer Ullie De Osu, the French Harp Virtuoso Melanie Genin, and the Japanese Violinist Eriko Sato.

This is an unusual performance including life calligraphy by the internationally known Red Square Master Chinese Calligrapher and Performer. She will paint and recite a Heart Sutra poem accompanied by minimalist sound accompaniment of a harp and cello and with assistance of the Russian model Ullie De Osu.

The program will also include Camille Saint-Saens’s Fantasie for harp and violin, Mikhail Glinka’s Romance for harp, violin and cello, several virtuoso showpieces for solo harp.

Eriko Sato and Lutz Rath will perform a duo for violin and cello by the German composer Hanns Eisler who collaborated with Bertolt Brecht in Berlin—both of them were questioned by the House- Un-American activities in 1947!!

And Lutz Rath will narrate the DADA poem “An Anna Blume” by the German artist Kurt Schwitters, whose work for forbidden to be shown by the Nazi regime.
