Songs of the Soul Beams @ BAM

Songs of the Soul Beams, a prizewinning composition in the 2017 Sparks Wiry and Cries songSLAM, is a theatrical song cycle by composer Felix Jarrar and librettist Brittany Goodwin about death and grief. All the songs are about the memories of deceased people. This theatrical song cycle features confessional poetry about deeply personal experiences. Some songs are stories, others are memories, and some deal with specific ideas that are relatable to the larger idea of picking up the pieces after someone passes away. The WORLD PREMIERE will take place at BAM on Sunday, June 4th @ 8pm in the BAM Fischer (Hillman Studio), 321 Ashland Place, Brooklyn, NY 11217.
